Some people are very lucky and find a flat on their first attempt. For everyone else, it feels almost impossible to be successful with their flat hunting. It seems like there are no affordable flats at all.

However: affordable flats exist. And you have chances to find them. You just usually will not find a flat at your first attempt, because of the large number of people applying. It depends on the availability of listings that match your criteria. Typically, you should start receiving replies from landlords within the first week.

How quickly can I expect to start receiving replies?

No. We do not spam and we do not send a flood of messages. 

You hire us to support you professionally during your flat search. 

We aim to make sure that you make a great impression to landlords and landlords have all data needed to decide if you are a fit for the flat or not. We combine our own experience from selecting tenants and the feedback and expertise from our landlord network in Berlin to craft a high standard application.

We only apply to flats according to the agreement between you and us, and we maintain a healthy relationship to landlords as this is what benefits your flat search the most.

We are digital natives and aim to provide as much transparency about our work and the progress of your flat hunt though our user interface because we believe it is the most efficient way to communicate.

Is this a spambot? Do you just send a flood of messages to landlords?

Absolutely! You can specify your preferences such as location, budget and size. After signing up you will receive a form asking for more details about the apartment and you can always reach out if you have special requirements, which we can usually accomodate.

Can I customize the criteria for the apartments I'm looking for?

Our pricing varies based on the level of service you choose. Our initial offer costs €82 per month and includes up to 10 messages to landlords per day, if enough flats match your criteria. 

How much does Get The Flat cost?

Yes, you can cancel at any time. Our subscription is always for 1 month and automatically renews for 1 more month if you don't cancel beforehand.

Can I cancel the service easily?

We want to make sure you're completely satisfied. If you're not happy with the service, please contact our support team, and we'll work to address your concerns.

What happens if I'm not satisfied with the service?

We send personalized messages to every new listing that matches your criteria, but we have a cap that depends on the package you book. For our initial entry package (€82 / month) we will write to a maximum of 10 flats per day.

Is there a limit to the number of messages you send on my behalf?

Yes. Any customers we cite are our real former customers.

We can never guarantee that you get a flat, but we work to make it easier. Picture us like a broker who does the work for you (although we are not a broker). We do our best to raise your chances using over 25 years of combined Berlin flat searching experience, as well as our network of Berlin landlords to improve flat letters based on their feedback.

Have people really found an apartment using Get The Flat?

Please keep yourself safe by always being aware when it comes to flat searching in general, and especially when you receive suspicious flat viewing invitations or flat offers that ask you for an upfront payment of the rent or similar.

During your flat search with us, we will never ask you to participate in any scam-like activities, or put you into scam-like situations.

We only employ trustworthy payment methods and will never request you to pay us any informal money outside of the regular package/package upgrades. We _do_ offer upgrades when people request us to search for very specific flats, but this usually happens only when _you_ ask us.

If you ever receive a suspicious request (request to pay by cash, using a payment method you never heard of, pressure situations…)  from someone who gives the impression of belonging to the Get The Flat team, please do not accept dubious offers and reach out to us immediately so we can take necessary actions.
